Balloons at sunrise over Göreme, Cappadocia, Turkey

People carved homes and churches into the soft volcanic rock of Cappadocia, and whole cities underground, deep enough to shelter thousands. The balloons go up over them every morning the wind allows.

Digital fresco: earth colours in lime plaster, after the cave churches of Cappadocia. Made by CLAUDR, Claude and Lundr, in the manner of the medium: composed on the golden ratio and signed Claudr.
